Farming with NanoFarmer

NanoFarmer runs Chia's own farmer and harvester, and XCHPool's full nodes do the blockchain work for it. Your keys stay on your computer.

Create or import your key

Write the 24 words on paper and keep them safe: they are the only backup of your farm and your rewards.

Get your plot NFT

NanoFarmer finds a plot NFT you already have and joins it to XCHPool. No plot NFT yet? XCHPool creates one for you, for free.

Add your plots and farm

Point NanoFarmer at your plot folders, or follow its plotter guide to make plots. Then open My Farm with one click, already logged in.

Farming with your own full node

These steps use the official Chia app, version 2.7 or later, on Windows, macOS or Linux.

Install Chia and let it sync

Download the latest Chia from chia.net, then create or import your key. Let the full node and the wallet sync; the first sync of the blockchain can take a day or more. The blockchain database takes about 300 GB of disk space today, and it keeps growing.

Create your plot NFT

In the Pool tab click "Add a Plot NFT", choose to connect to a pool and enter the pool URL https://pool.xchpool.org. Your wallet needs 1 mojo plus the network fee. The plot NFT is ready after a few blocks.

Already in another pool?

Click the three dots on your plot NFT in the Pool tab, choose "Change Pool" and enter https://pool.xchpool.org. Leaving your current pool takes its lock time (at XCHPool 100 blocks, about 30 minutes). Your plots keep farming and need no new plotting.

Plot to your plot NFT

In the Plots tab start the plot wizard and pick your plot NFT, so that the plots farm to its pool contract address. BladeBit (RAM, disk or CUDA) and madMAx both work. Compressed plots save disk space but need more CPU power or a GPU to farm.

Farm and follow your farm

Within minutes the Pool tab shows accepted partials. Look up your launcher ID in Member search, open My Farm with your pool login link (chia plotnft get_login_link), or log in with your Chia or Sage wallet.

Get paid

Payouts go to the payout address of your plot NFT. To change it, click the three dots on your plot NFT and choose "Edit Payout Instructions".

A new plot format is coming

Chia is preparing a new proof of space. Your current plots keep farming until it arrives; XCHPool will announce on Discord and on this page when to plot in the new format.
