NanoFarmer beta: farm with XCHPool without a full node
Today we released the first beta of XCHPool NanoFarmer. It is a free app that farms your plots with Chia's own farmer and harvester, without downloading the blockchain. XCHPool sends it the signage points and takes your proofs to its full nodes. Your keys stay on your computer.
Four steps to farming
- Your key. Create a new 24-word key or use the one you have. Write the words on paper: they are the only backup of your farm and rewards.
- Your plot NFT. NanoFarmer finds your plot NFT and joins it to XCHPool if needed. No plot NFT yet? The pool creates one for you, for free.
- Your plots. Point NanoFarmer at your plot folders and it checks every plot. No plots yet? The plotter guide picks a plotter for your hardware and gives you the exact command.
- Farming. The dashboard shows signage points, proofs and points. One click opens My Farm, already logged in.
What you need
- A computer that stays on: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), macOS 15 or newer, or 64-bit Linux, including a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 with a 64-bit system
- Plots made for a plot NFT. OG (solo) plots are not farmed.
- About 1 GB of free disk space and an ordinary internet connection, with no open ports
This is a beta
Version 0.1.0-beta.1 farms for real, but some things may still change or go wrong. NanoFarmer updates itself to newer test versions and only installs versions signed by XCHPool. The app is not code-signed yet, so Windows and macOS ask you to confirm once. The download page explains how, and gives a SHA-256 checksum to check your download. A new join guide
Our new join guide helps you choose: NanoFarmer, or classic farming with your own Chia full node. Both farm plot NFT plots and earn the same pool rewards, and you can switch later without plotting again.
